tapas and art live in the loopPeople who live in the Loop are usually cultured and engaged in their community.  Art Encounter is one of the Loop’s many fine organizations, dedicated to helping everyone in the community appreciate and engage with the visual arts.  On Sunday, November 17th from 2 to 5 p.m., Art Encounter is holding its 35th Anniversary Benefit.  The event will take place at the Union League Club of Chicago at 65 West Jackson Boulevard.  Art lovers who live in the Loop should come to this afternoon celebration of Latin culture entitled, “Mi Casa Es Su Casa.”

Sample excellent Latin tapas, sangria, and wine while you browse the silent auction items.  Beautiful collage miniature houses created by some of Chicago’s best artists as an homage to Don Baum, a giant of the Chicago art scene, will be available at the silent auction.  Hedwig Dances will give a performance.  Donovan Mixon will serenade guests with Latin guitar.  Guests can also enter the mystery raffle for exciting prizes.
