Toys and high fashion are combined for PlayCHIC, a fashion show near Streeterville homes? That’s right! As crazy as it sounds, the 2nd Annual PlayCHIC Fashion Show will take place on Thursday, November 21st from 7 to 10 p.m. The venue for PlayCHIC 2013 will be River East Arts Center, 435 East Illinois Avenue. The sophisticated space is ideal for the fusion of high fashion and games. It’s part of the the Chicago Toy & Game Group (ChiTAG). Model, actress, and game designer Joan Severance will host PlayCHIC.
This is a unique event that is sure to become a fixture on the calendars of those who live in Streeterville. Among the games featured at the event is Settlers of Catan. This game is a favorite in many households. Designer Miriam Cecilia Carlson, of the brand Miriam Cecilia, has turned her visionary talent to fashions inspired by the game. Several other beloved games will be featured at PlayCHIC.
