For a great day of family fun near your Wicker Park home, head over to Wicker Park on Saturday, November 16th. That’s the day of the annual Fountain Decorating Social & Family Fun Fest! The fun will last from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The social is free admission, but tickets must be purchased for the Fun Fest, which lasts from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Fun Fest is a fundraiser for Maternal Child Health Advocacy Council (MCHAC) and Wicker Park Advisory Council.
Get ready to decorate the Gurgoyle fountain with your neighbors just outside your Wicker Park home. Use lights and garlands to get the fountain into the holiday spirit. The 12 urns will be decorated with greenery, dried flowers, and pretty grasses.
Kids who live in Wicker Park will be having a ball inside while you decorate with games, crafts, a bounce house, storytelling, and more! There will also be a kid friendly musical performance. Enjoy a great day with friends and neighbors getting a Wicker Park landmark ready for the holiday season. The day will finish up with the lighting of the Gurgoyle fountain.
