Baseball Season Kicks Off For Chicago Home Teams

It’s time to play ball in Chicago. No matter where you live in Chicago, baseball matters…. It is part of our culture and our heritage. Last week the Chicago Cubs celebrated Opening Day and now the White Sox will be celebrating Opening Day this Thursday, April 7th at 1:10 p.m., against the Tampa Bay Rays. Special game day entertainment will feature Chris Young, the 2010 CMT Music Award winner and White Sox car flags will be distributed. Whether you have tickets, or are watching from your home in Chicago, the first game of the season is not to be missed.

The Sox will continue to play the Rays throughout the weekend and White Sox magnetic schedules will be given to fans at those games. Sunday, April 10th will mark a special day, however, with pre-game ceremonies starting at 12:30 p.m. Both Mark Buehrle, the Rawlings Gold Glove Award winner, and Alexei Ramirez, the Silver Slugger Award winner will be honored for their amazing talent and accomplishments.
